About Sydney East Driving Academy
The Learner Vehicle is a new Toyota Yaris Cross GXL (2025) Hybrid EV Automatic car. Car has full Comprehensive, Professional Indemnity (PI) & Public Liability (PL) insurances coverage, with a 5 star ANCAP safety rating. Approved and certified dual controls (pedals) are fitted.
We offer the full range of driving lessons for all types of learner drivers, from the first time in the driver's seat to P test preparation. Lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, whilst covering all necessary learning outcomes to be confident to sit the P's test and, more importantly, to be as safe as possible on the road.
Lessons may include driving under different conditions when appropriate (e.g., rain/fog, day/night, different road types etc).
Safety and safe driving practices are the number 1 priority, all lessons are designed and conducted with this in mind.

About Andy Cairns, Owner of Sydney East Driving Academy
Worked in corporate settings (mainly project mgt/finance) for over 30 years in various roles. Then it was time to try something completely different.
I've always enjoyed working with and helping lots of different people. I've always liked driving too, so it was a no brainer to set up my own driving school. My goal is to make a difference by helping to make all roads safer for all road users.
With over 30 years driving experience, including Australia and overseas, students are in good hands. No points lost on my NSW driving licence for over 15 years.
